What's the hardest part of your business?

What’s the hardest part of your business? What challenges you the most? And what are you doing to overcome the challenges?

For me, it’s marketing.

I have skills and knowledge that I love to share. The bookkeeping side of my business has always taken care of itself and never needed much marketing. But now I am doing something bigger. I am building a community. I am getting my introverted self out there. I used a marketing firm for a while and we created some great content but it just didn’t feel right. I’ve used mentors and masterminds. I’ve read books. I’ve pivoted. And I still feel very meh about it all. But I keep showing up and I keep trying new things.

There are parts of business that you excel at. You are great at what you do! But then there are others that just feel meh.

For a lot of business owners, the financial piece is a big MEH! Like, they just don’t even want to go there. That can be very stressful especially if the business needs a loan or tax time rolls around.

Can you imagine knowing your numbers? Putting on a fun playlist to joyfully pay bills? Having a system in place that would remove your stress and give you control? It’s possible. Meh can become YEAH!

As for me, it’s time to shift my marketing attitude from meh to YEAH! Because nothing changes when we stay in old narratives.
