Some Grace?

Some Grace?

Burnout. Are you feeling it? Are you seeing it in others?

I think a big piece is people haven’t recovered from Covid, which was a worldwide trauma, yet we aren’t treating it as such. The attitude is similar to being raised in the 70’s & 80’s: you’re on your own, kid!

Also, there are several genocides currently available for viewing on your phone. Ugh.

And I can go on. But I don’t have to. You know. I know, you know. There are so many factors contributing.

So, can we give ourselves some grace?

If you are reading this then you have great privilege. Gratitude for that! But privilege doesn’t mean you have to feel good all the time, and you don’t have to be productive all the time.

So, can we give ourselves some grace?

I have spent the last 20+ years of my 51 years unlearning the conditioning that trapped me in trauma, addiction, and abuse. And I’m not done! This onion continues to unravel. I am doing the best with what I now know. We all are.

So, can we give ourselves some grace?

The independence of the 70’s & 80’s taught me I to figure shit out on my own and allowed me to figure out who and what I need in my self-care circle to combat burnout and aid in healing: RMT, Osteopath, Naturopath, Ayurveda, Therapist, Chiropractor, Holistic healer, meditation, Physiotherapist, movement, CSA farm, business mentors, friends, family, and community.

So, grace. And gratitude.

Who and what helps you manage burnout?

Be well.
