Gratitude

Gratitude. It’s a word we hear often. Some use it as a sound bite. Some feel it deeply. Some have ritualized it.

This time of year can be hectic, stressful, and emotionally challenging. Yet it’s been dubbed the most wonderful time of the year - filled with generosity and love. All of these can be true at once. We humans are filled with contradictions.

This will be my final post of the year.

So, gratitude.

Another year is always something to be grateful for. Aging and the passing of time is a privilege denied to many. It has been a hard year, and I know people that won’t see 2026.

So, gratitude.

Keep it simple. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Be grateful for that breath. As long as you have another breath, you have something to be grateful for.

That’s all. Be well. Be kind. Be safe and have some fun. Take care of yourself and others, if you’re able. And remember to breathe.
